Marx Realty just announced that private investment firm, Orangewood Partners, is relocating from 9 West 57th Street to the company’s newly renovated 545 Madison Avenue.

Orangewood has signed a seven-year lease for a 10,000 s/f pre-built suite on the third floor of the Plaza District building.

Commercial landlords and brokers are rolling up their sleeves and getting down to business even as naysayers anguish over Manhattan’s record-high 18.7 percent office availability rate.

When Thor Equities defaulted on its ground lease at 545 Madison Avenue last year and Marx Realty took over the building, the new landlord decided the 17-story office property could use some modern updates.

Manhattan, NY Marx Realty has signed a 10-year retail lease with Wells Fargo to occupy 4,700 s/f of retail space at 545 Madison Ave. in the Plaza District. Marx Realty was represented internally by Henry Henderson and Wells Fargo was represented by Annette Healey of CBRE. The asking rent was $575 per s/f.
